*If you are really interested in visiting this great part of Northern California...you will have to look elsewhere for more information. We want to keep this wilderness really a wilderness!  Matt threatened to blind-fold us on the way in so we wouldn't know where the trailhead is.  Sorry :(  Some beautiful things need to be kept a secret...unless of course, you decide to join us for a hiking adventure.

1000 Lakes Hike

On Aug 28, we joined Matt and Mary Ann in Matt's truck for the drive to the 1000 Lakes Wilderness.  It's location is only about 40 minutes from Fall River Mills, CA. Matt enjoyed blazing down the 9 mile bumpy/dusty road to reach the trailhead.  The smell of pines and dirt was so refreshing!  Ahh...the great outdoors.

The 'Canright' girls are so happy to be together and enjoy an activity. (Of course, this picture was taken BEFORE the 6 mile hike!)
